Couples Therapy
Do you want to stop arguing with your partner over and over again?
Much of what we do in life involves relating with others. How then shall we manage the inherent differences that cause us so much hurt and unhappiness?
My work as a relational therapist is to provide a safe, supportive environment where exploration of thoughts and feelings can openly take place. Couples develop more conscious, loving relationships by responding in a non-defensive manner when upset or angered¸ but without “caving in.”
By learning ways to curtail damaging interactions and to move beyond right/wrong thinking, we create an environment that reduces conflict and leads to greater intimacy and desired change.

Testimonial
"We started seeing Marylou at a time when our marriage was stumbling to an
end. Neither of us wanted that, but we could not find a solution.
Through patient guidance, Marylou helped us find our way back to caring
communication and trust. Marylou helped us repeatedly revisit our
problems and defenses to gradually let go of what we thought we
needed and to open to the possibility of alternatives with gentleness
and compassion.
Thank you for saving our marriage."
