What do you believe about our mind's/body’s ability to create change?
I believe the beginning of personal change is knowing that a different experience is possible. I also believe each of us is capable of real change…learning to inspire and empower ourselves to make clearer, wiser life decisions.
Creating the life you want to live via greater self-reflection/acceptance and moving through self defeating beliefs and behaviors guides our work.
I integrate 39 years of clinical experience, 45 years of Buddhist practice and philosophy, and the exciting new field of neuroscience into my work.
My approach combines cognitive/behavioral therapy, anxiety reduction and mindfulness training, coaching skills, and authentic relating. I am engaged, encouraging, and resourceful.
I invite you to participate in this process…not just to gain relief from your distresses, but to help create a life filled with meaning, passion and increasing joy.

"Marylou is such an experienced and versatile practitioner. She is effective in all her roles whether it be counseling couples, providing individual therapy or teaching meditation and other types of inner work with groups. I have benefited from all of these.
She guides not just by giving her opinion, which I value, but by teaching you what to ask yourself. She’s helped me see what might need further exploration."
